Disney Cruise Ship "Wonder"
On February 24, Kathy and I took my parents on a Disney Cruise. We sailed on the Wonder (which is identical to the Disney Magic which we sailed on in 1998.) The picture on the right shows Port Canaveral (where we sailed from) in the background.
Here we are in the theatre for the mandatory lifeboat drill. On the right, is mom and dad on deck 10. The ship is very clean and the workers are always cleaning or refinishing something. The staff is very attentive and our room steward even memorized all our names. The first night mom and Kathy got seasick (seas were 8-14 feet so we had some good size waves). My dad and I thought is was fun being tossed about. There was a run on Dramamine at the ship's store.
Here we are on deck 4 under the lifeboats. This deck also serves as a jogging track. One lap around this deck equals a quarter-mile. Our first stop is Nassau, Bahamas. We walked around downtown and weren't impressed with this city. We could have skipped this stop.
Here's another picture of Nassau. On the right, is everyone on the bed in our cabin. We had an outside cabin (window view) on deck 2. The rooms are small but they're a lot larger than other cabins on other cruise ships. (We took a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon back in 1997 and there is no comparison, Disney's is much nicer.)
